Do these sound familiar?

Most families don't arrive knowing they need "airway care." They arrive because something isn't working, and they're ready for someone to connect the dots. Tap what you've noticed.

One symptom can have many causes.

Mouth breathing, snoring and restless sleep can each come from different places. A symptom on its own can't tell you which one applies to your child. Looking at breathing, sleep, oral function and growth together can.

One symptom Breathing Sleep Oral function Growth

A clearer way to see the whole child.

Developed by Dr. Santiago, the SANO Method is how every child is evaluated at AirSync. It brings together what is often missed when symptoms are looked at one at a time.

Instead of sending families from provider to provider, we start with one comprehensive, airway-centered evaluation and build the next steps around what your child actually needs.

Sleep

How restful your child's sleep really is: snoring, gasping, unusual positions, waking often or waking tired.

Airway

How air moves through the nose and mouth, and how the jaws, midface and palate are growing around it.

Nervous system

How a tired body copes during the day: focus, mood, energy and regulation.

Oral function

Tongue posture, swallowing, chewing, speech, and whether a tongue tie may be part of the picture.

Dr. Kimberly J. Santiago, DDS

Two decades of asking different questions.

Dr. Santiago set out to find answers for the families no one else could help: children labelled hyperactive, parents told to wait.

Years of advanced training showed her how closely breathing, sleep, growth and whole-body health are connected. She takes the time to explain what she sees and why, so you can decide with confidence.

If a specific question needs answering, the evaluation may include 3D imaging or a digital scan. Your child only receives what's appropriate for them, and we explain why first.

If another provider sent you here, you're in the right place.

Many families arrive on a referral from a pediatrician, dentist, speech therapist or lactation consultant who wanted a closer look at airway, sleep or tongue function.

We'll explain what to expect at the first visit, what to bring, and how we keep the provider who referred you informed.

Questions parents ask.

Don't see yours? Call us. We're happy to talk it through before you book.

Do we need a referral?

No. Many families come to us from their pediatrician, dentist or another provider, and many come on their own. Either way, call us and we'll help you choose the right first appointment.

How young is too young?

We see infants, children and teens. For babies, feeding difficulties and tongue ties are often what bring families in. Earlier answers usually mean more options.

What happens at the first visit?

We start with your concerns and your child's history, then Dr. Santiago looks at breathing, sleep, oral function and growth. You leave knowing what she saw and what she recommends looking at next.

Will my child need imaging?

Only when it helps answer a specific question. If 3D imaging or a digital scan is useful, we explain why before anything is done.

How do costs and insurance work?

Coverage depends on your plan and the care involved. Our team walks you through costs and payment options before treatment begins, so there are no surprises.

What if the problem isn't dental?

Then we'll tell you. When another specialist should be involved, such as an ENT or a sleep physician, Dr. Santiago coordinates with them and keeps you informed.

Quieter nights start here.

Schedule at our Issaquah office, or call if you'd like to talk first. We'll help you find the right starting point for your child.
